I hope we will be able to add things such as animal companions into those shots later, not for the V miniature aspect but for using as wallpapers and such.
Character Creation ... ( 10 months ago by digitalmorphine)
Character Creation softwares are, I believe, mandatory these days. They should at least be as fast as NWN, having a "recommended setting" button for each step.
I really hope that this new D&D has more "pick up and play" aspects, because it takes a long time to prep for a gaming session.
The "recommended" ... ( 10 months ago by tprimex2000)
The "recommended" setting sucked crap though.
But I agree, it was fast and nice to use.

way to go rules database; sure we've had the SRD for a while but to have everything current in one place will be such a time-saver.

When the hell did DnD become a video game though? It seems that the only real advantage to the new system is based on having a computer handy. Not cool

Well of course it seems like that, this is detailing D&D INSIDER, which is an online part of the game.
I'm sorry but the ... ( 9 months ago by pastorpainter)
I'm sorry but the graphics look ridiculous and immature. The character creators art needs a redesign if they want it to fly. Oblivion or even Eve Online have far superior creators and this is what Wizards should have been aiming for. It might be adequate for the old players like myself, but new players will balk at the mickey mouse attempt.
The more editions ... ( 9 months ago by skullylove)
The more editions and products that come out the more it seems like the game is moving away from its original feel & purpose.

I say at least give it a chance. This si Wizards real first foray into the digital age. And as with anything digital it can be improved with simple updates. I wish people would actually give something a chance before shooting their mouth on how its ruining the game.

True. That's where I am. If people don't want it they don't have to buy it, there's a lot of stuff already out there. People who are willing to jump in will found out about how good it is, and pass on the information to the rest of us to help us make our own decisions. I don't like some of their ideas, I like others, but I won't know if it all fits together until it's released.

I think that giving specific roles in a party for the classes kinda takes away my favorite aspect of Tabletop RPG. I really love the D&D insider idea and i thik it'll really rock but I´m considering sticking with 3rd edition...Plus, I live in Brazil and D&D material gets pretty expensive down here.
They should give an ... ( 6 months ago by ZomgJiggles)
They should give an option that allows someone to send their 3d character model on the character generator into a miniature which is then shipped directly to the customer.
That would be ... ( 5 months ago by Reisgar42)
That would be awesome, but it would have to be very expensive, as they'd have to make a custom mold for it and a lot of other minor things that go into making a miniature. It wouldn't really be worth Wizard's time.
they wouldn't need ... ( 1 month ago by Daggoth65)
they wouldn't need to make the mold tho, if each one is custom why not just ship out the hand made one? yeah still expensive even for them being made to order but still an option i would think
